About us

Craig Murray has been part of the New Zealand events industry since 2004, building a career shaped by creativity, community, and hands on experience. He began working with Surfing New Zealand and well known surf brands before moving into live event promotion, where he co founded Flow, a music venue that hosted more than 200 events featuring local and international artists.

Craig spent almost five years as the Bureau Manager for Rotorua NZ, leading business events and convention activity for the region. Before that, he worked for four years in the sales team at Wellington Venues and also gained valuable commercial experience with Coca Cola.

Over the years, Craig has managed a wide range of events across the country, from national sporting competitions to conferences and corporate experiences. He has delivered events for major brands such as TikTok and One New Zealand, and collaborated with companies including Google, Xero, and others.

Craig has managed Enduro World Series mountain bike races, growing a local mountain bike event into the largest of its kind in the world. He also created the New Zealand Small Business Conference and continues to manage conferences for a range of brands and corporate clients.

Today, his focus is on developing Intrinsic owned brands, including the NZ Fishing, Hunting and 4x4 Expo, which has quickly become one of the country’s leading outdoor lifestyle shows and is set to go nationwide in 2026.

Through Intrinsic Events, Craig and his team also create community focused events such as the Agrodome Farmers Market, developed to strengthen local awareness and connection. Intrinsic regularly collaborates with other major events and organisations including Meatstock, Crankworx, Legend of the Peaks, Athletics New Zealand, and others.
